Kainai Forage Celebrates Remarkable First Cut Harvest Record, Surpassing 40,000 Metric Tonnes of Premium Timothy Hay for Export

Kainai Forage crew celebrating the record breaking 40,000 metric tonne first cut harvest

Stand Off, Alberta (July 21, 2023) - Kainai Forage is thrilled to announce an extraordinary achievement, as we proudly smashed our record for first cut harvest by bringing in over 40,000 metric tonnes of top-quality exportable Timothy Hay.  With the last truck rolling across the scale last night, first cut harvest has now successfully wrapped up and the results were tremendous.

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the unyielding dedication and hard work of our exceptional team of Kainai/Blood Tribe community members, Blackfoot confederacy members and other support staff. Their tireless efforts and passion for this business were instrumental in achieving this milestone in the ongoing execution of the Kainai/Blood Tribe’s vision to be the world’s leading exporter of premium Timothy Hay and recapture their full agricultural value chain.

Kainai Forage would also like to extend a warm thank you to our valued farming partners for their willingness to support the shared vision. Together, we have fostered a strong agricultural community dedicated to delivering premium products to global markets.

As we celebrate this considerable accomplishment, we set our sights on the future. Kainai Forage is now eagerly looking forward to the second cut harvest later this year and are determined to break our single-year total harvest record once again. With the unwavering commitment of our team and the continuous support of our partners, we are confident in our ability to achieve even greater heights on our way to completing our expansion to over 100,00 MT/year.
