Our Premium Products

Kainai Forage has partnered with high quality growers farming on over 25,000 contiguous, irrigated acres on the Blood Tribe Reserve. This partnership provides us with a dedicated supply of forage across all cuts or harvests to better fulfill the needs of our customers. Our proximity to the Southern Alberta Rockies offers a favourable growing climate that produces high quality yields each growing season, while our co-located storage facilities ensure consistent quality control throughout the year.

Quality – Grades are more than a number

Each cut of each field is graded and available for customers to individually review and purchase. Field-specific grading reduces potential for quality variance across a particular grade while also allowing for customer preference on specific attributes (i.e., coarseness, colour, head height). Overall, our exportable timothy hay quality ranges from Horse Premium to #2; while our Alfalfa ranges from Supreme to Good.
